Manchester United vs Stoke City
kagawa Van Persie Returns Possible Man Utd Starting Line Up To Face Stoke City
After a dominant 1-0 win over Real Sociedad in the UEFA Champions League, Man United seeks to extend their win today as they play host to Stoke City at Old Trafford, in the EPL week 9 encounter. David Moyes can't afford a draw today, if he must avert criticism and insults from fans, just like last weekend's disappointing 1-1 draw with Southampton. Many United die hard fans called for David Moyes resignation.

The Reds are presently occupying eighth place on the league's table with 11 points. While Stoke ranks sixteen, with 8 points.

Champions League Match Preview/Fixtures

Group A
Manchester United 7:45 PM Sociedad
In the EPL, United drew their last home match, wandering what tonight gonna be like, at Old Traford again.
Manchester United and Real Sociedad both changed managers in the summer and have been slow starters in their respective 2013/14 campaigns, with United eighth in the Premier League and Sociedad 12th in La Liga. Sociedad are without any points after two losses in Group A, and it is crucial they at least draw at Old Trafford to keep their qualification hopes alive. But the Spaniards come into the match on the back of a 2-1 win at Valencia, and long-serving captain Xabier Prieto is fully-fit again after a thigh injury. The sides have never met before but United have fared badly in recent matches against Spanish opposition. Over the last two seasons they were knocked out of European competition in the Last 16 by Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao.

David Moyes is starting with Shinji Kagawa and Chicharito both among the starting XI. Here's the line-up in full: De Gea; Rafael, Jones, Evans, Evra; Valencia, Carrick, Giggs, Kagawa; Rooney, Hernandez. Subs: Lindegaard, Buttner, Smalling, Fellaini, Nani, Young, Januzaj

Leverkusen 7:45 PM Shakhtar

Group B Real Madrid 7:45 PM Juventus

Galatasaray 7:45 PM Copenhagen

Group C Anderlecht 7:45 PM PSG

Benfica 7:45 PM Olympiakos

Bayern 7:45 PM Viktoria Plzen

Match Preview: Ghana vs Egypt~World Cup Play Offs 1st Leg

The Pharaohs are already in Kumasi as they are already preparing to lock horns with the Black stars in their first leg World Cup qualifier that will kick off tomorrow Tuesday 15th October, by 4 Pm.

Ghana's Black Stars have been on the ascendancy ever since they qualified for their first World Cup in 2006 and would be looking to make it a habit of honouring the World’s prestigious football tournament when they face Egypt.

The Black Stars are looking forward to securing their third consecutive World Cup participation. Many Ghanaian very optimistic that their team will defeat the visiting Egyptians.
But their optimism maybe mere wishful thinking, judging by the fact that Egypt has a wonderful record so far in their World Cup campaigns, with six wins out of six games.
Also having failed to qualify for the World Cup 2010, and the last two AFCON tournaments, the Pharaohs are fully back to secure a ticket to Brazil by all means. With Walid, and Abou-Treika up front, Egyptians will have little or nothing to worry about.

The Black Stars also have had an impressive run in the group stage of the qualifications. They accumulated a total of 15 from a possible 18 points with the only loss away at Ndola to 2012 African Champions Zambia. Ghana have had good runs in the World Cup featuring in 2006 in Germany and 2010 in South Africa, where they were Africa’s best and last contingent from the continent to be eliminated. They nearly registered a record as the first African country to enter the semi-finals with an Asamoah Gyan spot kick away, but it was missed.

Ghana's probable line ups:
(4-2-3-1)

Richard Kingson; Daniel Opare, Awal Mohamed, Jerry Akaminko, Mubarak Wakaso; Sulley Muntari, Michael Essien; Kwadwo Asamoah, Andre Ayew, Asamoah Gyan; Abdul Majeed Waris.

It is likely for Egypt to start with:
(4-3-3)
Sherif Ekramy; Ahmed Fathi, Wael Gomaa, Mohamed Naguib, Ahmed Shedid; Hossam Ashour, Mohamed El-Nenny, Hossam Ghaly; Mohamed Salah, Mohamed Abou-Treika, Walid Soliman.

Match Preview: Norwich vs Chelsea

Chelsea drew last week against Tottenham. The match ended 1-1 and the low-scoring contest wasn't a big deal. Some people said that Chelsea were lucky to have pulled a dray
Chelsea have made it difficult for anyone to score on them.

Meanwhile, Norwich have scored just one goal in their last three EPL contests. Where are their goals going to come from in this contest? My answer is that they won't.

Norwich will get a boost from playing this match at home, but that will only be good enough to keep this one close.
Here is today's Chelsea line-up against Norwich (kick off 1:30pm UK time)
Cech; Ivanovic, D Luiz, Terry (c), Cole; Ramires, Lampard; Oscar, Mata, Schurrle; Ba Subs: Schwarzer, Azpilicueta, Cahill, Essien, Willian, Hazard, Eto'o #CFC Here is today's line-up vs. Norwich (k/o 1:30pm UK time) Cech; Ivanovic, D Luiz, Terry (c), Cole; Ramires, Lampard; Oscar, Mata, Schurrle; Ba Subs: Schwarzer, Azpilicueta, Cahill, Essien, Willian, Hazard, Eto'o #CFC Here is today's line-up vs. Norwich (k/o 1:30pm UK time) Cech; Ivanovic, D Luiz, Terry (c), Cole; Ramires, Lampard; Oscar, Mata, Schurrle; Ba Subs: Schwarzer, Azpilicueta, Cahill, Essien, Willian, Hazard, Eto'o

EPL Match Week 7 Preview

5 October 2013 Today's Fixtures:

Manchester City vs Everton 12:45

Cardiff vs Newcastle United 15:00

Fulham vs Stoke City 15:00

Hull-city vs Aston Villa 15:00

Manchester City vs Everton 12:45

Everton had an enviable record at the "Blue Camp" under previous manager DavidMoyes—just one defeat in their last six visits—and are looking down on City in the Premier League table, having made a good start to life under new boss Roberto Martinez.

He knows how to beat City, having done so memorably at Wembley with Wigan in May, so how will his opposite number in the City technical zone set his team out this weekend?

Manuel Pellegrini's side may begin with:

Joe Hart; Pablo Zabaleta, VincentKompany, Matija Nastasic,Aleksandar Kolarov; James Milner,Yaya Toure; Jesus Navas, SergioAguero, David Silva; Alvaro Negredo.

Manchester City were humiliated by Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday will be burning a hole in Pellegrini's preparations and will lead to some changes, but not in goal.
Pellegrini led Manchester City are hoping to bounce back against unbeaten Everton
Roberto Martinez's men are yet to taste defeat in the Premier League and have a good record against the hosts who will be hoping to improve after two defeats in a week

Liverpool vs Crystal Palace 15:00

Liverpool are looking ahead for another win, after beating Manchester United 1-0 last week at Anfield.
Crystal Palace appears to be a work over at the moment for Liverpool, judging from their last five matches.

Sep 28, 2013 Southampton 2 - Crystal Palace 0 EPL
Sep 22, 2013 Crystal Palace 0 - Swansea 2 EPL
Sep 14, 2013 Man Utd. 2 - Crystal Palace 0 EPL
Aug 31, 2013 Crystal Palace 3 - Sunderland 1 EPL
Aug 27, 2013 Bristol City 2 - Crystal Palace 1 CCUP

Liverpool is going to miss their prolific midfielder Lucas Leiva on suspension. The Brazilian ace midfielder collected his fifth yellow card in their 3-1 victory at Sunderland last Sunday.
Rodgers must decide who will line up alongside Steven Gerrard in Lucas' absence and whether to stick with the 3-4-1-2 formation he has used in the last two outings since Luis Suarez's return.
There's also the question of whether vice captain Daniel Agger will return from injury in defense.
Liverpool may likely go on a 3-5-2 formation with:

Mignolet,

Toure, Skrtel/Agger, Sahko

Sturling, Gerrard, Hendo, Enrique

Moses

Sturridge, Suarez

Sunderland vs Manchester United 17:30

Manchester United has had a poor start this season. As United take a trip to the stadium of light, Manchester United fans are expectant. Hoping and praying for United to pick up three (3) points at the stadium of light. It won't be that easy though, because Sunderland may appear to be a small team, but have pose serious treat to United in some previous seasons. Therefore, David Moyes has to select his team wisely.

Sunderland attack at the moment, seems to pose little or no treat to United.
Also, they will be vulnerable to United’s pace out wide.

However, with Sunderland still looking to pick up their first win of the season, United must remain cautious.
Manchester United may likely go with the formation below.

Shakhtar Donetsk Vs Manchester United UEFA Champions League Match Preview

Shakhtar Donetsk vs Manchester United
Venue: Donbass Arena

Tonight on UEFA Champions League
Manchester United visits Shakhtar Donetsk at Donbass Arena on their UEFA Champions League second group stage encounter.
In tonight's game,Rio Ferdinand will be missing out because of his groin injury. United's team will be missing the likes of Fabio, Anderson and Wilfried Zaha.
Marouane Fellaini, Nemanja Vidic and Patrice Evra did not start against West Brom at the weekend but are likely to feature tonight, while Robin van Persie is fit and looks set to start.
David Moyes led United are all out to grab a 3 point that will ensure their position at the top of the group.

Shakhtar are expected to have a fully fit squad to choose from after Luiz Adriano returned to training this week, as they are battle ready to engage the visiting English giant in what I call 'bloody encounter'.
Its going to be a whole lot of fun.
