EPL Match Review: Arsenal 0-2 Chelsea

Chelsea s Juan Mata fires in the shot which put his side two up against Arsenal. Picture: Toby Melville/Reuters
Arsene Wenger men played well, but were unable to see Chelsea's net.
The Gunners opted for sidelines crosses, instead of working their way into Chelsea's 18 yard box with their usual one-twos touches.

Chelsea maintained their usual play pattern. They approached their opponent subtly and forceful. They utilized their chances well.
The first goal came when in the 25 minute of the game when Azpilicueta latched on to Carl Jenkinson poor back header and brilliantly shoot past Arsenal goalie.
The Blues second goal came in the 66 minute of the second half, when Juan Mata controlled the ball on the edge of the box and took a touch before unleashing a venomous right-footed strike, booking Chelsea’s place in the fifth round.

Nigeria 4 - 1 Iran: Eaglets Humiliate Iran as they Forge Into Quarter-final

Nigeria thrashed  Iran 4-1 to book a place in the quarter finals of the FIFA U17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates yesterday evening.

Garba Manu’s boys have secured a place in the last eight of the FIFA U17 World Cup after a comprehensive victory over Ali Doustimehr’s side.

First half goals from Samuel Okon, Kelechi Iheanacho, Musa Muhammed and a second half strike from Musa Yahaya ensured the red-hot Africans caged the boastful Persians at the Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain city.

Kelechi Iheanacho’s thunderous strike outside the west Asians’ penalty area which almost sailed into the net as early as the 30th second sent a stern warning of the Eaglets’ quest for a place in the next round of the championship.

Playing before the cheerful Nigerian supporters made the Iranians look uncomfortable as they were thoroughly outplayed by the Nigerian whose deft touches and blistering skills were beauty to behold.~Leadership

Jose Mourinho's Chelsea Records

Jose Mourinho's Chelsea record in full:

Won 134
Drawn 43

I'd like to know what you think about Mourinho's record so far as Chelsea boss. Is he a good manager or a poor manager?

FIFA U17 World Cup: Nigerian Golden Eaglets Battles Iran.

Nigerian Golden Eaglets are battle ready as they face Iran today by 5 pm (17:00) for a place in the last eight of the on-going FIFA U17 World Cup in the UAE.
Iranian youngsters said they are going all out against the Eaglets, to break their wings and stop them from flying. But I'm quite sure that 90min would be the right judge for today's game.
This Round of 16 match will be at the familiar city of Al Ain, where Golden Eaglets beat Mexico 6-1 and drew 3-3 with Sweden.

Eaglets finished as leaders in Group F with 7 points, while Iran were runners-up in Group E with 5 points.
All Africa's four flag bearers are through to the last 16 with Morocco and Cote d'Ivoire even staging an all-African clash in this knockout stage of the tournament.

Chelsea 2-1 Manchester City

It was indeed great match, the both teams were at their best .
You'll agree with me that Fernando is gradually regaining his form. Torres took advantage of a disastrous last-minute defensive mix-up to give Chelsea a dramatic 2-1 victory over Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.

The match had been heading towards a draw after Sergio Aguero cancelled out Andre Schurrle’s opener but the 90th minute strike for Torres, who had earlier hit the crossbar and wasted another glorious opportunity, means the Blues move up to second in the table.

kagawa Van Persie Returns Possible Man Utd Starting Line Up To Face Stoke City
After a dominant 1-0 win over Real Sociedad in the UEFA Champions League, Man United seeks to extend their win today as they play host to Stoke City at Old Trafford, in the EPL week 9 encounter. David Moyes can't afford a draw today, if he must avert criticism and insults from fans, just like last weekend's disappointing 1-1 draw with Southampton. Many United die hard fans called for David Moyes resignation.

The Reds are presently occupying eighth place on the league's table with 11 points. While Stoke ranks sixteen, with 8 points.

Manchester United probable line ups
RVP, Kagawa, Rooney, Nani, Felliani, Carrick, Evra, Vidic, Ferdinand, Rafael, and De Gea

Shocking! Man Has Natural Brewery In His STOMACH Which Turns Food Into Pure Alcohol

I've been thinking a whole lot about this. I know it sounds cocky, but I can assure you that this isn't a cooked story. Its real.
Meet Matthew Hogg, 34, suffers from a rare condition known as auto-brewery syndrome, where an overgrowth of yeast in his small intestine produces pure ethanol that is then absorbed directly into the bloodstream.

The condition went undetected for 20 years meaning he spent years being 'drunk' after eating highly starchy or sugary foods - even when he was at primary school.

He is unable to hold down a job, and has to stick to a very strict diet as even a small portion of rice makes him feel like he has drunk three bottles of wine.

Mr Hogg, from Middlesbrough, said: "Every time I eat bread, potatoes or starchy rice I produce 100 per cent proof drinking alcohol that travels around my body through my bloodstream - if I eat a portion of rice I would suffer a hangover equivalent of having glugged three bottles of red wine the night before.

"I have experienced symptoms from birth and during my childhood there were countless times I suffered 'drunkenness' without having consumed an alcoholic beverage.
"I was a stubborn teenager and wanted a normal life so I insisted on partying and drinking and after sailing through my GCSEs I had to scrape through my A-Levels to go to university.

"But soon after starting I dropped out - I had noticed I was getting drunk more easily and was suffering severe hangovers after most meals."

"Drinking alcohol is now a big no - I already have my own personal brewery and the body was not designed to handle even more alcohol.

"Plus why pay someone else when I can make my own special brew."

While studying for his A-Levels Mr Hogg's condition became more severe and he would often experience 'drunk' affects, such as dizziness, nausea and even aggression, during classes.

Mr Hogg added: "I would start feeling intoxicated a few hours after having something to eat as my body began digesting it.

"I'm usually quite a shy and quiet person and had a lot of friends at school, but there were times when I would act like a raging drunk by saying horrible things to people, slurring words, upsetting people and just stirring up trouble.

"My parents were baffled by my behaviour. I had always been a quiet, sensible child and even as a teenager I was never prone to being moody or stroppy.

"But suddenly I started acting like Kevin the teenager, from Harry Enfield and chums."

The complexity of Mr Hogg's condition baffled NHS doctors, who insisted he visit a psychiatrist as a result of regularly missing school.

Champions League 23/10/13 Match Reviews

Manchester United 1-0 Real Sociedad

David Moyes was full of praise for Shinji Kagawa's Man of the Match display in the 1-0 win over Real Sociedad. "I thought it was Shinji's best game in my time here," said Moyes. "I saw something from him tonight which I hadn't seen in other games, so I was really pleased."
What Moyes and United wanted most was an early boost, something to settle the nerves, and they got it so early it was almost comical. Less than two minutes had elapsed when Rooney turned Markel Bergara inside out in the penalty area in what was United's first attack, calmly making room for a shot that rebounded from an upright straight into the path of Iñigo Martínez, arriving on the scene to help out Bergara but succeeding only in prodding the ball into his own goal. "It was a terrible mistake, a disastrous goal to concede," the Real Sociedad manager, Jagoba Arrasate, said. "We never really got our game together after that." United could have had a second goal after another 10 minutes when Claudio Bravo made the first save of the game, stopping a Rooney shot on the line after Rafael da Silva had crossed from the right.

Jonny Evans had suggested United need to raise the level of their performance after the Southampton game and encouraged by a dream start they seemed to be doing just that, passing more crisply, attacking more forcefully and utilising the whole width of the pitch. Rooney was too high with a somewhat ambitious overhead effort from Antonio Valencia's cross midway through the first half, before Hernández beat Bravo with a header only to be correctly recalled for offside.

Real Madrid 2-1 Juventus

Cristiano Ronaldo REAL MADRID VS. JUVENTUS

Madrid had the lead before the clock showed four minutes.
Cristiano Ronaldo emerged Madrid's man of the match as they defeated 10-man Juventus to put one foot in the Champions League last 16.

Ronaldo scored twice in the first half - his sixth and seventh goals of the competition this season - either side of Fernando Llorente's equaliser, before Juve saw Giorgio Chiellini sent off for an alleged elbow on the Portugal international.

Chiellini, who conceded the penalty that handed Ronaldo his second, was shown a straight red card three minutes into the second period when it looked as though he had done nothing more than fend off the forward with his arm.

Bayern Munich 5-0 Viktoria Plzen

Bayern Munich's Franck Ribéry v Viktoria Plzen

I already knew that Viktoria Plzen was no match for Bayern, cos the last time they met, they were thrashed 7-1 by Munich.
Franck Ribéry shone on his return from injury, scoring twice as Bayern Munich demolished Viktoria Plzen 5-0 in Group D of the Champions League.

David Alaba doubled the lead before half-time with a low drive and Ribéry got another with a superb chip on the hour, after shaking off two defenders in the box. Bastian Schweinsteiger added a goal three minutes later and Mario Götze completed the scoring from close range in stoppage time to end a nightmare evening for the Czech visitors.

Galatasaray 3-1 FC Copenhagen

Felipe Melo of Galatasaray celebrates his goal

Didier Drogba and Emmanuel Eboué helped the Turkish club to a convincing 3-1 win over FC Copenhagen to move into second place behind Real Madrid, who defeated Juventus, inChampions League Group B on Wednesday.

Champions League Match Preview/Fixtures

Group A
Manchester United 7:45 PM Sociedad
In the EPL, United drew their last home match, wandering what tonight gonna be like, at Old Traford again.
Manchester United and Real Sociedad both changed managers in the summer and have been slow starters in their respective 2013/14 campaigns, with United eighth in the Premier League and Sociedad 12th in La Liga. Sociedad are without any points after two losses in Group A, and it is crucial they at least draw at Old Trafford to keep their qualification hopes alive. But the Spaniards come into the match on the back of a 2-1 win at Valencia, and long-serving captain Xabier Prieto is fully-fit again after a thigh injury. The sides have never met before but United have fared badly in recent matches against Spanish opposition. Over the last two seasons they were knocked out of European competition in the Last 16 by Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao.

David Moyes is starting with Shinji Kagawa and Chicharito both among the starting XI. Here's the line-up in full: De Gea; Rafael, Jones, Evans, Evra; Valencia, Carrick, Giggs, Kagawa; Rooney, Hernandez. Subs: Lindegaard, Buttner, Smalling, Fellaini, Nani, Young, Januzaj

Leverkusen 7:45 PM Shakhtar

Group B Real Madrid 7:45 PM Juventus

Galatasaray 7:45 PM Copenhagen

Group C Anderlecht 7:45 PM PSG

Benfica 7:45 PM Olympiakos

Bayern 7:45 PM Viktoria Plzen

Facebook Eases Up On Posting Restrictions For Teens

This sounds good to many people, but I think Facebook need to do more than that, because sometimes I get totally pissed up with Facebook cos of some unnecessary restrictions and questions I get on Facebook. I give TechBeat credits for this. Pew Research found out earlier this year that teens think Facebook is passé. According to the research, teens now prefer Twitter, as Facebook is too full of drama and having to manage their online reputation (via Facebook) is proving to be too much of a hassle. The result? More teens have been turning to Twitter.

Facebook has been busy doing all sorts of things – trying to entice teens being one of them.

In a move which can only be seen as reaching out to the younger crowd, Facebook has lifted some posting restrictions for teenagers. Before this latest change, Facebook users aged 13 to 17 were not allowed to create public posts. Of course, if you’re older than 17, you might not have known of this issue. If you’re ultra careful about your posting settings, you probably wouldn't find this an issue as well.

There is some use to being able to create public posts, though, and not having to add people just so they can see your posts. That’s exactly what Facebook has allowed with this most recent change for teenagers’ accounts. The idea is to allow everyone to broadcast posts freely. Just.like.Twitter.

Whether this will make Facebook cool for teens again, we are yet to find out.

In other Facebook-related news, the social network is now allowing gory videos on our newsfeeds – again. This feature was disallowed by Facebook earlier this year, thanks to the advice of watchdogs. Facebook has reverted to its original stance, though: they want users to have the freedom to see (or report) such content.
So, what do you think about this changes?

Rumours: Nokia’s First Tablet~The Lumia 2520

Well, it looks everybody had their turn of manufacturing Tablet devices, and Nokia felt left behind. Nokia has decided to manufacture their own tablet too. Nokia's first tablet may be on the way any moment. Just be in the look out for updates, get the full gist bellow.

It has emerged that Nokia’s first tablet will be part of the Lumia brand and will carry the product code 2520, hence the name the Lumia 2520.

The tablet also has a wide bezel, in which sits a front facing webcam but there are no clue as to the specs.

Tablet Specs And Operating System

Any information on specs for the Nokia tablet are pure speculation at the moment but rumours suggest that the device will have
*a 1080p,
*10.1-inch display,
*6.7 megapixel rear-facing camera and
*ten hours of battery life.
*It is also rumoured to have LTE support,
*32GB of storage,
*microHDMI connector and
*a micro USB port. Whether these rumours are true, we’ll have to wait and see.

What nobody seems to know is what operating system Nokia’s first tablet will run on. It’s possible that it will run on Windows RT but it would make more sense for it to be powered by Windows Phone 8, especially seeing as Microsoft is working on an update that will allow Windows Phone 8 to run on tablet-sized devices. As with the specs, we’ll have to wait and see for that one.
Release Date
There is no confirmed release date for the Lumia 2520 yet but Nokia will be showing off the new tablet for the first time on October 22nd.

That’s the same day that Apple will be showcasing its next generation of iPads. Apple’s unveiling date was supposed to be the 15th but it was moved to the following week.

Hopefully for Nokia, the time difference in Abu Dhabi will allow the device to be unveiled first. ~TechBeat

But Olivier Giroud's 41st minutes goal thwarted the visitors celebration, brought the game to a draw. One can say that Dortmund really meant to steal joy away from the Gunners fans as Robert Lewandowski scored the second goal for Borussia Dortmund. You could see real sorrow in the Gunners fan faces, because they brought their guns, but their guns refused to shoot. It jammed on them some how.

UEFA Champions League Fixtures 27/10/13

Arsenal v Borussia Dortmund
Schalke v Chelsea
Celtic v Ajax
AC Milan v Barcelona
Steaua Bucharest v FC Basel
Marseille v Napoli
FC Porto v Zenit St. Petersburg
Austria Vienna v Atletico Madrid

Arsenal have won 11 of their last 13 games in all competitions this season after Saturday’s 4-1 win against Norwich City. They're looking ahead to win tonight's match. Dortmund is a strong team, I'm sure they are not gonna give The Gunners a nip.

I'm not too sure about Chelsea game, but what I'm so sure is, its gonna be a tough game for the both teams.

Celtic have had ten different goalscorers this season but have so far failed to net in the Champions League against AC Milan and Barcelona.

AC Milan v Barcelona It promises to be a big game, but I wouldn't be surprised if AC Milan should fall cheap to Barca as they've been doing in the previous seasons.

Twitter Generalizes Direct Messages

You can now send direct messages to anyone on Twitter.
Social media giants Twitter have increased the lines of virtual communication with a new option which allows users to receive direct messages from any user on Twitter. The feature is opt-in and appears to be in state of current roll out. Some Twitter users, but not all, are seeing the option in their Settings menu.

Since Twitter’s launch, users have only been able to send direct messages if both parties followed each other on the micro-blogging service. This policy cut down on spam messages being sent from unknown users. Now, users can navigate to Twitter.com, Settings, Account and scroll down to Content. If you are one of the people who have been rolled out, you should be able to see an option to check the box next to “Receive direct messages from any follower.” If you check this option, any Twitter user that follows you will be able to send you a Direct Message, regardless of whether you decide to follow them back.

This news was first reported via Twitter from Blogger Jim Connolly. On Tuesday morning he noticed the new function in his online settings. “I’m giving it a go…Why not?” he wrote. But, not everyone was eager to give it a try, as user Magnus Thörnblad tweeted in response to Connolly’s news “Great feature if you like spam dm’s from bots ”.

It appears the micro blogging site started the feature for a limited number of accounts, “in cases where having that capability may be beneficial…We do not have plans for making the feature more widely available at this time…We will continue to experiment with ways of helping people and companies get more value from Twitter.” The company told The Next Web. Last month, the company launched Twitter Alerts, which provide users with notifications about emergency situations from trusted sources like the American Red Cross,FEMA, and the World Health Organization. Users must subscribe to the alerts.

So, if you don’t already have enough followers, no doubt if you check the box, you’ll have a whole lot more!
This is good news for spammers but not for some people.

Manchester United Fans Calls For Moyes Resignation.

Manchester United 1 - 1 Southampton
After a disappointing draw at Old Trafford, there was a lot of negative responses from United's fans. Many asking for Moyes resignation. We were privileged to capture some responses from United fans.

This is what David Moyes said after the match:

"I thought we had really good pockets of play at some points of the game, but not enough control. Conceding in the last minute was a real sickener," said David Moyes after the draw with Southampton. "We’re aware of what we have to do now. We’ll get ready to go again, starting with the next game against [Real] Sociedad." More from the boss:

Here are some comments from Manchester United fans

Bradley Herbert Dhlakama man u is world class and moyes sucks. he should be sacked if man u wants to get back to winning wayz.. like if u agree or comment if u have something else in mind

Matheus Gonçalves de Pinho play kagawa and stop to make stupid substitutions DM...

Andy Nauyghtybut Nyce I think we have lost more games under David Moyes since the summer than in the last 5 seasons! Play Kagawa and play Zaha! Keep you're daughter away from the club and the players and then you're pride won't be hurt when they do what footballers do with women! You are a mid table manager at best the job is too big for you! I have lost faith in you and you're managerial style! I love Man Utd with all my heart and I'm actually ashamed that I've turned into a moaning fan but with results like this that old famous saying it gets worse before it gets better is something that is not in the United vocabulary! Get it together or resign and let someone with more passion and desire come in and do the job that our lord and Messiah Alex Ferguson used to do with flawless control season in season out each year!!!!

Jones Nyabuti A LETTER TO DAVID MOYES...
We as the manchester united fans want to express our utmost sincere regrets for having accepted you as our maneger. From the look of things we could tell that your manegerial skills are not in any way helping us move any inch. We want to call for your immediate resignation without further notice. From my simple mathematics, there is no manager in the world of E.P.L who substitutes 'wayne rooney' with 'chris smalling'. Oh! Without forgetting, ur guy 'fellaine' is a PFS(programmed failing species) this is because he is so slow to react to a tuckle and so there is no way hez gonna get to blend into our game. For one to be one of our players he has to react swiftly and with speed. This season has been so stressing to us that all teams we seem to encounter seems to be sure with us. U cant have that courage to stand before the board of trusties and explain how you came to draw with south hampton on a possible winning game and if you do then go gotta have some gutz my man. I wonder what kind of a man you are when you keep zaha bench warming when he has the potential of raising our game. Anyway without much ado, i want you to know that i almost cried while watching the goal scored by lallana at the 89th minute.

Olusola Osabi Everton is 6th on the table now, they never achieve this when Moyes was in Everton

Carlos GoLa Moyes please resign you are not a good manager

Leckham Rango Lekgaez G E T O U T ! ! !

There were over ten thousand comment, with 97% calling for Moyes resignation. I'm wandering what the future holds for Manchester United under David Moyes as manager. Culled from Manchester United page on Facebook

FIFA U-17: Mexico Buried By Nigeria

Nigeria 6-1 Mexico
It was a bad day for the south American champions as they were forced to bow to the unrelenting Golden Eaglets.
Nigeria were forced to weather an early storm from the Mexicans, who should have gone in front after just three minutes. Striker Ulises Jaimes rose unmarked between the Nigeria centre backs, but could only direct his header wide.

As the Golden Eaglets gradually established a foothold in the game, they began to get the champions worried.

It did not take long before they made it count. Isaac Success broke away with pace on the counter, shook off his marker, and hit at goal.

His shot was saved, but the ball fell back fortuitously to him, and he laid it on a plate for the arriving Kelechi. Iheanacho to finish high into the net over a pair of Mexican defenders.

Seven minutes later, he was back. Again, Success was the provider. And again, it was on another breakaway. This time, the Nigeria No 10 showed calm composure to skip his way into space and find the net.

But Mexico found a riposte a minute late. Nwakali and co failed to clear their lines at the back, and Jaimes showed an. Iheanacho-style composure to pass the ball beyond Alampasu

But that was as good as it got for El Tri. Iheanacho grabbed his hattrick from a long throw in, Nwakali added another from 25-yards out not long after, and Success got the goal his enterprise deserved when he skipped past two to slot home.

But the final word belonged to Iheanacho, who cut in from the right and fired in a venomous ball from range.

Mexico were left dazed, as the irresistible Nigerians prepare for a date against Sweden next.

Google & Facebook Joins A4AI To Provide Affordable Internet By 2015

Imagine the world where internet is made available, affordable and accessible for everyone. When I say everyone, everyone includes people in urban and rural areas in Africa and other developing countries of the world. Social net work giants, Google and Facebook have joined the Alliance for Affordable Internet to make this a reality. Read the full report below.

The Alliance for Affordable Internet is a group of tech companies and industry sponsors who are working together to reduce the cost of internet access, enabling developing countries to get connected via the internet.

While it might seem incomprehensible to some people that a household might not have 4 internet devices, the fact of the matter is that two thirds of the world are not connected at all because they simply can’t afford it. By connecting these developing countries, the A4AI hope to increase the population’s exposure towards healthcare, education and science.Recently, Google and Facebook have announced that they have joined the 30+ other companies who are involved with A4AI. These companies include:
Yahoo
Intel
Microsoft
Ericsson
Cisco

Objectives

The main objective of the alliance is to offer developing countries a more affordable internet access in the belief that by improving internet access, the countries will have access to some of the tools needed in order to grow and develop.

The technological genius companies and sponsors will use their know-how as well as innovative technology to reduce the costs of internet access.

In order to track and assess internet affordability around the world, the Alliance for Affordable Internet will introduce a survey. The results of this survey will be used to formulate the next plan of attack in the war against internet costs.

There will also be changes to policies and procedures helping to reduce costs further which can then be reflected in the consumer’s price plan for internet access.

Lastly, the Alliance will work directly with the Governments of each country, educating and guiding along the way while cutting out the middle man.

By 2015, the A4AI hope to have reduced the internet costs to under 5% of the average wage in 12 developing countries. Credits: Tech Beat.
